On a random note, the Lou’s shop down in Medford maybe be a bit more expensive than others. Dude quote around $300, but oh well, cheaper than getting a full kit. I’m about to go pick it up, so we will see how bad the damage is.

My uncle has the smaller Infiniti SUV and it also seems to chew through tires pretty well. He keeps buying whatever was OEM and I think they're a pretty soft compound.

Heard the lighter flick while she was locking the pump handle. Sat there and burned one while it filled up.

Yeah, it’s not exactly what I was looking for, but hopefully it’s enough to clear the skid. And just in case, I’m gonna heat wrap it cause I don’t want to cook the module at the back.
Just the reroute to go around the transfer case.

It is a bit wonky cause he kept part of the original down turn, so it sits a tad lower than what other people have posted.

That is wonky. I did hear that that heat wrap stuff traps water and salt and will cause alot of corrosion. I have only used it on motorcyles and my diesel heater so i don't know that from personal experience.

    Will the tank fit?

With the wrap, I plan on using their recommended high temp silicone spray to prevent the corrosion.

Not sure on tank. Will check tonight.

I just hope it works with the skid and air tank.

    Being stupid should be painful.

    I wish...

    An remember... these people vote....

@CttAznRanger don't use wrap. I don't care what you put in/on it. It WILL HOLD moisture. It will move, not matter how tight, thus lending to more corrosion. Trapping heat unevenly in one section of pipe... did Lous use the same grade of stainless? Did they use stainless?

Better off making a heat shield. Simpler, easier, cheaper, and the MFRs have been doing it FOREVER.

No clue what they used, but fair. I guess I’ll have wrap and shit just laying around then.

    @TacoTuesday603
So, I have good news and bad news.
    Good news, tank fits.
Bad news, he made the pipe too low so it interferes with the skid. That something you can mess with? Or is that a job for hammer and wood?

Then, I guess I need to make some plate covers or something for the actuator. More jobs for Jack, lol.

I’m sure we can figure something out a little more elegant than the BFH.

I am going to update my material price sheet with my steel supply. I got those prices peak steel price during covid so I am going to update so it should go down.

There’s the two bolts already holding a little plate, and the bolt that mounts the actuator. Those might work. There’s also the one more up top.

Yeah we should be able to do something, should I get some steel? I don’t have anything thin anymore. Not sure when we are going to be able to get to it though
