Backed up 3 times today, RS BSM went off when nothing was near?

No visible damage, although it has been raining for days. Seems one needs tech stream to test it, so I will pull it off and check the connections when the weather clears. Anyone had a similar experience?

 

Maybe there is debris in there between the sensor and the bumper cap

 

I had the same issue yesterday, and again this morning. Got out wiped the water/mist off the sensors and still had random parking sensor beeps (mine was telling me center). I’m on LI so similar weather as you.

 

My issue was the Parking sensor. I turned it off and the next day turned it back on and did not have the issue. I imagine it will manifest itself as an intermittent issue going forward.

 

Dumb question but were you pulling a small trailer at that time?

 

or have the gate down, or have a hitch, in the platform? all will send signals of rear obstacle in way. Ski
