Is it going to be hard to even test drive a 4th gen?

This comment was a while ago... When I was brand new to my Tacoma.. Now I slowly start to like it. Besides the price that Tundra costs for what it offers is joke, might as well go F150 and have more towing/payload. I will stick with my Taco, while I miss my good ol' 2003 4runner.

However, big trucks are cool, its just tundra isn't really a big truck if you ask me...

You can call it big pick up I guess but meh. Did you guys know that 2023 Tundra has barely , a little more towing capacity than 2010 F150 xD?

Its shame that Toyota has no diesel engine on US market, while across ocean its different story.

However, when it comes to mid size trucks Tacoma really is great. I was going for another 4runner when I was trading my 03 4runner.. due to rust :( otherwise I would never give it up. Anyway I was going for another 4runner but I got pick up to help out my dad with his business, and it is really a good truck for what we need it for.

They offered me Tundra and called them " big boys " but who are you lying son, that ain't no big boy xD, just a big car that costs as much as real big trucks.

Hilux has more payload than the Tundra. Tacoma new and old aren't even in its class. Crazy. Toyota is amazing---just less so in the North American Market (minus Mexico). They get the best of both world for some reason.

I think it might be government regulations to Japanese cars to be honest. I don't see any other reason why they won't go diesel on US market.

It might simply be because they want to give a hand to Ford,RAM ,GMC to keep selling vehicles. Toyota is already winning vs them in their own market. Which is in my opinion kinda shame..

Things need to be MADE IN USA, so people can buy them. But nope.

Not going crazy here. Only irritating that they still haven't released pricing or official mpg's. Makes people look elsewhere when there's such a delay between model release and stats release.

Yup-confirm---still going crazy waiting for more videos for this truck. I don't think I was this excited for the Gen 3 truck when it came out.

This is real superficial love folks. Hate me or like me, my first truck will be a Taco. Can't wait to see an Off-road lifted.

You’re going to agonize and obsess over this on a daily basis for the next 2+ years? Sounds rational!

Not going crazy at all. Waiting at least 3 years before I even consider getting one after the 3rd gen debacle

I'm definitely looking forward to it. After hapily living with my 2005 Tacoma for 17 years, I bought a 2022 SR5 and have to say that I'm really disappointed in the powertrain in my newer truck. Less get up and go than my 2005 (even with 270k on it) and the transmission is absolutely awful. I also find the body roll much worse than my 2005. I plan on trading it in for a Gen 4 after it's been out for a year and Toyota has worked out the kinks that the new releases always seem to have.

You are crazy, thinking toyota will work out the kinks after a year. Sounded like your 2022 coming from 2005 didn't get the kinks worked out.

I need a new rig ASAP, my 2001 is falling apart. But not liking the lack of Gen4 2-door higher end models like the off-road. I need ext cab with long bed and 4wd capabilities. Basically a replacement for my old tired gen1 OR. Plus the price will be stupid.
