I must have missed the new poll. That is what I get for taking a day off from this thread. I once had a spider crawl out of the middle of my salad. I did not finish the salad, did not order anything else and did not pay for my meal.

 

I would normally say the same. but I have no more ability to move up here unless someone dies. and the ability to get into a position that makes the same as my current boss's boss's boss with complete independence (boss is halfway across the country) is hard to pass. and they are willing to work with me to rotate to another position elsewhere in the country or back to south Texas with that raise after 3 years.
And it isn't like california isnt a beautiful place to be. the laws are just horrendous and retarded. I look at it as, i'm still fairly young (despite what my body tells me) and single. I already suffered through being stuck there for 4 years once i can probably manage another few years.
Aviation maintenance and manufacturing. mostly Army helicopters.
And typically, anything south of San Antonio is considered "south" Texas. I10 is the dividing line per Texas parks and wildlife for most things hunting related.

I do not know what the pay is, but air medical companies like Air Methods and Air Evac are ALWAYS in need of mechanics and there are multiple bases in every state. Seems like you could pick and choose if the money was right.

 

Well Subaru called back and only took 2weeks but they are gonna replace the radio

I quit me job two months ago and now work for myself!!!

Not sure anything compensates for the combined 30% tax hit there.

 

Apparently I did too good of a job on the parking lots so now I get to compile the square footage of the streets on campus and grade them as good, fair or poor.

That's a hell of a thing to drop on a guy on a Friday afternoon.
