That's unfortunate. The Ranger is my favorite midsize truck, its a shame if one would turn out to be a headache to own. I don't know anything about modern Ford, only ever owned one and it went well, until it really didn't haha. (trans though, not engine)

 

Went out to the garage with the intentions of changing the oil in the truck... it only has 1800mi on it. So guess I'm not doing that today. Wouldn't even net me a useful metric from Blackstone.

 

Eh it's just work to own, at least with the Ecoboost there's a lot of community knowledge because they're in everything.

Community certainly counts for a lot. Warranty wouldn't hurt either, at least for a while. New facelifted trucks are nice imo.

 

I'll be curious to find out how you like wheeling it compared to the Tacoma

I think he has stated before that it caused him to rethink the suspension on the truck. Almost like the bronco has millions of dollars of suspension development compared to the bolt of stuff we use...

 

Wonder how many millions were spent finding ways to cut the production costs.
