    One time I was Grouse hunting with a buddy.
    He paused at a big oak tree to take a leak.

    The Grouse on the other side of the tree waited a little while, then flushed at the perfect time.
    (They often do that, the crafty fuckers.)

    Anyone who has flushed a Ruffed Grouse unexpectedly at close range can tell you it's a nerve-jangling experience :eek:

    You can guess my buddy's reaction.
    He jumped, let go of his wang and tried to bring his shotgun to bear on that fast-departing Grouse.
    Nope.
