I once tried to drive dirt through Missouri... Fluckers steal every sign they can in the National Forest there. Ended up navigating by cemetery's... Look, everywhere is gonna have better geography than Wisconsin. I should have settled down with a Nevada girl when I was there. Or Washington. Or, or flucking or. I got a Wisco girl and gotta make due with what is here. Certainly wouldn't have a lake house, ski boat(s), sailboat(s) and such in Nevada like I do here... Besides, Moab is only 22 hours away!

A lake house is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it

Is that a reference to the fact that I screwed up and didn't buy a house years ago before the housing market went apeshit?

Nope, it’s an obscure line from an old movie.

Not many people did like it, even though one of the main characters was played by the most beautiful woman of her generation.

The question isn’t ‘what are we going to do’, the question is ‘what aren’t we going to do?‘

Sounds like some in our group!

Flew the drone over Tigerton spillway just off 45 today because there are some rapids below and now I think I’ve photographed every known feature in that town.

    IMG_6406.jpg

Oh yeah, you know the one waterfall at Tigerton where we always hang out? There’s one more upstream on private. Got a peek with the drone after hiking to the property boundary.

    IMG_6407.jpg

Struck out at a few places in Menominee County that I thought used to be accessible to the public, now heavily posted off limits to non-tribal members. Oh well, but good for them probably too many inconsiderate people dumping trash there anyways.

    IMG_6408.jpg

Big Smokey Falls is open though and always a fun place to check out.

    IMG_6417.jpg

Struck out at a couple other places on the map that I had pinned but I don’t even care, colors are getting nicer every day and it’s fun just driving around. Camping at Richardson Lake near Crandon I think, cell service is meh but I’ll live. Short fire then off to bed.

Could be worse, you could live in IL :)

There’s definitely no perfect place to live, they all have compromises. My cost of living is extremely low and allows me to do other fun stuff like you mentioned. The racing scene here would be hard to leave, there’s 15+ kart tracks within 5 hours of here. That just doesn’t exist outside the Great Lakes area

So, we're back to talking about how the off-roading in every other state is cooler than Wisconsin again?

    Great topic!

    :duh:
