    When a cow gets Mastitis, her milk turns kinda greenish and stinky.
    The dairy farmer is supposed to dump out all that milk until the infection clears up.
    Supposed to... :rolleyes:

    But the milk doesn't turn nasty all at once.
    The cow will have Mastitis for a little while before it becomes apparent.
    Think about it...


    BTW, when I was growing up on the farm, antibiotics were rarely used.
    They were just coming into widespread veterinary use, but still expensive.

    Sulfa powder (sulfanilomide), on the other hand, was widely used.
    Sulfa was used in huge quantities in WW2 hospitals and aid stations.
    If you ever watched Band of Brothers, notice what they do when someone is wounded.
    They sprinkle a packet of Sulfa powder on the wound.


    My Dad used a lot of Sulfa on the farm critters, and it was quite effective.
    But it can only be used topically.
    Ingesting it is a bad idea.




    Sulfa medications are to this day useful for treating certain kinds of infections.
    Can anyone guess?

    My third and last F-150 was a 1993.
    I ran them all absolutely into the ground :cool:

    The exterior dimensions were not all that much bigger than my Tacoma.
    Why oh why do the new ones look so bloated in comparison?
    And from what I gather, they're not as reliable as the old ones :notsure:
