    Whole lotta stuff
Extra fuel cans and tools in addition to the spare. Does pretty well. Going to add an off-road jack down the line when I can get a mounting solution.

Before I had the second spare I added like 150lbs of steel to the rear of the frame. Just a big ole hunk of 1.5” and some 1x3 bars.

Smiles per gallon actually improved since the truck was more planted and fun to drive.

Couple stitch welds to hold it to the frame and then cut em off after getting the dual spare.

Another thing I have seen people do granted it’s more of a proof of concept thing, is fill the spare with water. I did this to estimate he amount of weight needed for things to work right. 35” spare filled with water is about 300lbs

That sounds like fun until you get a flat and have to drain that out all over your truck and potentially where you’ll be switching out the tire or break your back trying to get it off of your truck before draining it.

Strapping down wakeboard bags to the spare sound like an easier idea.

Like I said. More proof of concept thing vs long term

I'm still running my SCS RAY10 16x8 -12's until I finally beat the rest of the tread off these KO2s and replace them with 17's. What brands are worth considering nowadays for non-beadlocks?

    Method bead grips are popular

The method bead grips are nice. But if you’re happy with the scs they make 17’s as well. That’s what I’m running. 17x9 -38’s

Bead grip actually works really well, coming from a guy that has to remove tires from method wheels using a tire machine.

The other one that's interesting is the new icon wheels with the bolts that go through the rim and hold the tire

I asked it in the scs thread to no answer but how different is the beadgrip design to scs's knurled bead? I know the bead on the method is way bigger but I already have the scs's lol, and the methods are significantly heavier

SCS in purple method in black. I think the giant safety lip on the methods makes a bigger difference than any of the knurling or ridges. Also like how bead grips are on the inner and outer and most beadlocks or icon rebounds are only on the outer.

I have ripped two tires off a bead in one trip while crawling at 10-12 psi. Since swapping to bead grips I have not lost a bead even at 7-8. I have burped air twice in 6 months of hard wheeling. No problems going fast at 10psi other than hitting skids when I jump it.

Thanks. Yeah, I’ve popped a bead on my RAY10’s twice and I have a crack in one so I was looking for something a little sturdier. It looks like consensus is that Method still makes a decent wheel.

You ever blow an inner bead? I’m thinking of swapping to a set of machetes and 37s that have been taking space in the garage. They would get a few wraps of gorilla tape on the inner.

would be nice to keep a little more ground clearance and not worry at 5psi
