I added a BakFlip G2 Tonneau Cover. Really happy with it!

The K&N has more air flow and more sound for entertainment purposes with no sound baffle or air restrictions;) although a claimed more horsepower also it should be a nice combo with my OTT tune regardless . I never claimed the stock setup wasn’t a cold air intake I just said I have a K&N cold air intake on the way .
But thank you for your observation
K&N claims 17 more horsepower FYI wether it gets it or not I like the sound and looks over the stock configuration. I’ve run K&N for many years and have never been disappointed wether it’s intakes or drop in filters.

Had oil changed today at the Toyota Dealer. Oil was really dirty! Tacoma had sat for 2 weeks while on RV trip. Got home and noticed a really funky smell when driving my Tacoma.
"Old Faithful" is at almost 185,000 miles. I have the oil change faithfully at every 5,000 miles. Trying to stretch out the lifetime of my 2016 Tacoma, contemplating selling and buying a new 4 Runner. No more dog to haul around. Old guy passed in June at age 13.

Just got some minor touch up with the grinder then paint tomorrow. Oh, and I still need to tap the passenger bed behind the tail light which is a 10 minute job. Too late for drilling in the driveway. My garage is a mess and I’m going in the hot tub.

NOT an afternoon job. Took nearly 12 hrs but I had a couple hiccups the first time around and figure I could get that build down to 8 hrs. I need a drill press. That M18 Milwaukee drill is a wrist breaker

And I think I jacked up my Harbor Freight vice

    Well, I'm impressed!
Is it satisfying to have designed and built your own? Once they are painted they should look nice.
For 12 (or 8) hours work the price on the TC ones doesn't seem so high anymore, especially since I can't weld well and don't have the metalworking tools (or current skill).

Yea they’re a simple enough design but time consuming. It is very rewarding doing it yourself. But not something I’d do repeatedly. I had the angle iron laying around and plenty of welding wire so I gave it a go. Been itching to fab something lately so why not. Still thinking about making my own sliders this winter

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I would suggest getting the units powder coated.

If stock, my battery is 7yrs old. Going to get a new one once Fleet Farm opens.
Noticed bad corrosion on positive terminal and the post looks shot.
I don't run a lot of gidgets and gadgets so I've always ran these Interstate with great success.
It's plenty for cold Wisco winters.

Hmmmm... this picture really caught my eye. I've never considered this mod until you posted the pics.... what led kit did you purchase. I may do this mod now. IF it's cheap. I will also buy the kit for my son...it would make a nice Christmas gift.

My son bought a borla exhaust and a K&N CAI over the past couple years. He was disappointed that his truck didn't feel like it gained anything. It sure does sound good though.

I've purchased the 2 lo mod but haven't installed it yet. How was the install? Have any tips you can pass along to make the install any easier? Thanks in advance.

LED interior kits are dirt cheap and I have been using them for nearly 8 years. It is the 1st thing I do to every new or used vehicle I buy. Those old yellow lights are no good for anything at night. Even the cheap kits last for many years. I think I paid $10 for the 3rd gen kit in early 2016. Think I spent $15 last month, including map and visor bulbs, for my grandkids 2003 Camry.

I've been a carpenter/builder mostly all my life, have worked with many trim carpenters and furniture/cabinet makers, your work looks better than some of the professionals I've seen/worked with. This is me giving you a pat on the back!!
