There was a mod day, and an unofficial Tigerton weekend get together.

Next up is the Bayfield Fall colors fun run and fire tower tour. :woot:

I think I figured out my retirement plan.

Edit: I should mention that I haven't actually bought a houseboat, lol. It's just an idea I have of how I might like to spend a few years when I retire.

I didn't actually buy a houseboat, by the way! Hopefully my post wasn't misleading earlier.

I'm just fantasizing about what I might do someday.

Hey it rained at Tigerton and we had Old Fashioneds…that makes it official, no? Maybe not sanctioned but official.

You already have a tramp stamp? Add another decision to your to-do list!

All I’m saying is if you wanna be Pokémon master of bad decisions you need that on your list. I suggest a big ol’ Charizard.

In todays waterfall report, not too much to share. I had crazy thunderstorms shooting lightning at me from like 3am until 9 this morning. You know it’s super close when you count “one-one-thousa-BOOOM!!!” I’m tired and weather is hot so slightly cranky. Anyways, stopped just for a moment at Wildman Adventures to take a quick photo of one falls I forgot before.

    IMG_6511.jpg

I searched for some tricky/difficult unknowns but mostly struck out on those. Still good to have boots on the ground to confirm. But I did find a “new” one that we didn’t have catalogued before on the South Branch Pike River.

    IMG_6524.jpg

Then I found another on the same river a few miles downstream. There are still multiple targets I have on this section of river but most are incredibly hard to reach. This one falls in that category but wasn’t bad by comparison to others I’ve done. Did require going down about 80 feet of cliffside though.

    IMG_0287.jpg

I’m cheating and staying at a hotel in Iron Mountain because I need to do my school work like ASAP and I can’t do it as quick on the road if it keeps raining. And I need to resupply and stores are here so it’ll save driving time later. And it’s going to be like 85 tomorrow so I’ll probably slack off a bit because that’s just too damn hot to do this type of stuff.

I really didn't think the spare would fit underneath, but now I will be on a mission to get it under there. Thanks for the link Jason! I really can't keep it in the bed for as much as I haul stuff. The wheel and tire combo is 90 lbs, and it's not fun to move around, in and out of the bed.

And it reeks of rubber every time I open the tailgate. Just got that smell out of my garage where I had been keeping the tires. I mean, it's not a terrible smell, but if I sleep in the truck bed I'd rather not be smelling it.

Good to know, and thanks for the helpful info. Glad to hear that Toyota was listening to the enthusiast crowd and made a couple good changes related to this for the gen 4.

Any info on this super secret dashboard button reset trick? I had thought about looking into a cheap programming tool, if a cheap one that works actually exists.

    I agree with your response.

There was definitely one comment that was out of line, and seemed unprovoked in that initial back and forth, though.

But, I thought the rest of it was just good natured trash talking.

Seems a little odd to call us a bunch of jack wagons when he knows some of us check in on that thread. Of course, it might not have been meant to be offensive. :notsure:

Enjoying following along on your adventures. I spent my childhood vacations at my grandparents cottage on Silver Lake in Laona. I still have some family up there. Good memories.

Keep the great posts and pics coming! Makes me really want to take a week or two off and just wander.

33's fit under the 4Runner no problem. I would have thought it would be the same in the Tacos. You'll make it fit, though. :sawzall::welder:
