lots of us didnt. lots of ways to skin a cat out there nowdays.

todays repair was front sway bar bushings & brackets. put a fancy set of Moog blue bushings & a new set of Dorman mount/brackets.

no matter what they tell you: those are not perfect replacement parts. the holes were NOT in the same place. yeah i made it work.

Installed some seat jackers from Desert Does It. Gives you a nice little reclined feel to it. I visit the fam in Sacramento from San Diego every few months or so. Heading up in a week so I’m looking forward to the drive.

I installed an Add A Leaf kit. The guidance here and YouTube videos were very helpful and it took a lot less time than the AAL that I put on the 1994 5-lug pickup because the Taco leafs are above the axle.

Total time was about 5.5 hrs with the first side taking 3hrs.

thankfully the Cali bolts and frame cooperated greatly with no rust. I torqued the U-bolts to 75 ft-lbs.

the white truck was a total from a durango rear ending it, the red 2002 needs a new frame.. that i have to do soon, and the black 98 i just got done frame swapping with what appears to be the last brand new toyota frame in existence for a 1st gen

that being said the red one will be for sale when its done... since it was the first one i picked up.. and i really dont need it.. the 95 is getting lifted and some armor that came off an 01 i bought that was rolled.... and the 98 is staying as it is but getting a haltech and more boost eventually

i also have a second gen thats next in line for a frame swap... an 07 getting a 2021 frame

Made a post for this already, but I figured out why my truck wouldn’t start.
Button under clutch wasn’t being fully engaged.
Hope all you 1st gen guys are having a great weekend.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Spent the weekend cleaning up the disaster that is my garage.

Decided to finally replace the compressor outlet (from previous home owner) with an outlet I can make better use out of.

Pulled my coilovers to replace the struts... well, the struts I have don't work, and the bushings are shot. Truck's on jackstands until Wednesday, at least.20231001_155934.jpg 20231001_155939.jpg

Good news is, everything about these was junk. Should ride much better. Hoping the springs are stock...
Also planning to do a fuel filter replacement and swap out my aftermarket injectors with new OEM while it's just sitting there.

The pics actually make me feel better about what I'd been seeing before I pulled them... thought those were stock yellow and blue bilsteins until I pulled them. The yellow look is just rust and dirt I think

Changed out the map, dash, and climate control light bulbs. LED for the climate/map, and regular 194s for the dash. Also replaced my the bezel around the radio/AC area since the old one was damaged. Forgot to get some pics, going to change the engine air filter tomorrow and tint her, I'll post some epics afterwards.
Just maintenance for now; spark plugs, coils, and wires on the to do list. Keeping my eyes peeled for some new wheels/tires.

I just have way too much shit. At least it's relatively clear now. I'm going to have to tarp the cherry picker and 20 ton press and roll them outside so I can get the truck in at an angle. Once I get everything torn off the truck, I need it in the garage so weather doesn't slow the work.
