Oh there will be some mods all right
For fitting a 33-inch spare, couldn't you just deflate the tire a decent amount? (I assume all of us or nearly all of us have onboard air so if you needed to use the spare you could just top it off first)

I knew one guy, back when I raced, from Laona. He once talked about driving the getaway car when his parents robbed the bank. IIRC, he said he was like 12yo or something. Drove straight home, right where the cops went! Last I heard of him, he ended up doing some time for stealing a plasma cutter from his employer...told the cops he bought it...this is back when they were pretty rare and damned expensive due to just coming out on the market. Oh, it had the employer's name and serial number painted inside the cover.

My summer spare is always flat. But, that's because there's a hole in the wheel.

Wouldn’t that kinda decrease it’s usefulness?

Yeah, I didn't understand the 'jackwagons' comment either, which is why I thought the comments needed to be addressed. If anything, thin-skinned is about the last thing I'd call anyone in this group.

It holds air for a few days. It's a tiny pinhole leak.

But, now that I also have a bent wheel, I think it's probably time for me to look into getting that repaired. I found a place in the area that repairs alloy wheels and I'm going to look into it this winter.

Speaking of slow leaks... I searched all over the one tire from the old set that I had that very slow leak (2-3 lbs per week) and found nothing. My buddy at the shop has an amazing eye for that stuff apparently. Took him about 15 seconds to find a tiny bit of metal poking between the threads, about like the tip of a paper clip. Squirted a bit of soapy water on it and sure enough, tiny bubbles after a few seconds.

It wasn't. Where I'm from, The term 'jackwagons' is a term of endearment.

But I can understand the confusion. :bananadead:

Anyways, a pm was exchanged to clear a few things up and it turns out everybody was just reading everything a little sideways, myself first and foremost. Carry on.

Time to get back to talking stoopid, Bayfield is coming up fast and I'm sure there will be plenty to go 'round.

    True!

The "regulars" has become a pretty big crowd now.

At first, it seemed difficult to get anything planned. But, I finally took a play from @BookieBob and just threw out dates and an idea, and people showed up.

Now, people are just constantly waiting and looking forward to the next thing. I couldn't have asked for a cooler bunch of random people from the internet to hang out with! :)

With @pearing as our guide, it's bound to be a great time! I don't plan on doing anything stupid this time, but I didn't plan on doing anything stupid in Tigerton, either.
