Tried some Angels Envy Rye tonight. Judgement call….mehh. I won’t buy the bottle. Kind of an odd lingering sweet rye flavor that sticks around on the palette too long. It almost tastes like an additive flavoring.

Glad I didn’t put the $$ into a full bottle.

it’s not terrible, just not…great…or even good.

I like it because it’s really smooth. Bought a small bottle to try it out. Not my go to, but a nice try for something different

Earlier this year while visiting our daughter, I picked up this sampler pack from Laws Whiskey House. First crack of the pack was tonight, going with the Straight Rye, shown on the right side. I’ve not really jumped into ryes except for when I make Old Fashioneds, so this is a nice way to get a sample of one. Definitely like the different flavor, the rye jumping out with that spicy note.

    Not much stock left.
Personally, I found the rye to be quite enjoyable.

    Any Spec’s.
    Goody Goody
    Liquor Plus (Grand Prairie)
Mirage (Colleyville, bit of a haul)

    That’s a decent start of a list.

Yes. Do it. All things Kirkland.
I’ve gone through about half a dozen of these and and a half dozen of the small batches

My brother is a Scotch guy and was impressed with the Kirklands brand scotch. No feedback on the bourbon.

I’ll have to find one of these to compare to the Wolcott brand. Curious if there are similarities, given the Barton 1792 distillery name on the label.

I've collected all three, bottled in bond, single barrel, and small batch. The bottled in bond was my favorite.
