    Hi all!

On the hunt for a steering wheel for my 2002 as the one in it is destroyed. I'm a bit confused after all my reading on here vs what the wrecking yard told me so I wanted to come clarify before I make an expensive booboo.

All I need is the actual wheel part as my airbag is fine. It has the newer 2 prong style of connector. Wrecker guy told me that I need a wheel from a tacoma and that I cant just transplant something from a camry or corolla.

When I google camry/corolla wheels they look pretty damn similar to mine lol. Only concern I have is the airbag connector. If I get a wheel that had a 1 prong airbag in it can I hack in my 2 prong one?

    Many thanks for the help!!

I assume you have a wheel like this one? If so, then yes, the center airbag piece (bottom in the picture) should fit fine in a similar wheel pulled out of a Camry or something. As long as you're not swapping out the clockspring or anything, then it shouldn't matter.

Yup! Exactly the same. Yeah just need to get the skeleton of the wheel, no point replacing an airbag that works. Thank you for the confirmation, really didnt want to buy something to find out it doesnt fit lol.
