It's not super ambitious to take an XJ and an MJ and marry them to make a 4 door pickup. They basically did that from the factory anyway.

I like the new yellow color jeeps for some reason. They have a 2 door down the street for me but 56k for a sport with wheels an 33s is a joke

Way to spendy for something that only lasts 10k miles of hard use.

atleast that's what my buddy gets out of them.

I mean yeah it's steep. Seems to have gone up a bit since I purchased.

Your other option is to buy a fob shell from Amazon/eBay that fits the internals for $8-$15.

The rear doors on all the crew cab builds always look odd. I can't talk shit though because I don't have the skills to make one. This is the only build I've followed fully.

    4 run, 2 don't
    That one looks good.

I'm a sucker for the body style; I like boxy shit especially if it's straight and clean.

    But that's a sick build.

Anyone recognize this long travel kit or is the consensus home brew? Uppers look a little wonky but the lowers look like a decent job. Seems big if it is a 3.5 kit but it may be the offset playing with me.

I personally don't get this argument

One of my coworkers drives his jeep around corners at twice the speed limit, I was in the thing when he was doing it and it didnt feel abnormal or out of control

Doesn't feel any different than an f250 or ram 2500, when not worn they handle great imo, I've noticed a lot less body roll from anything I've been in with a solid front axle ... but a little play in the wheel once the gearbox wears is really annoying

It's all about the market. Small/weird trucks just don't do well here, I'd say roughly 2/3 of vehicles on the road here are full-sized pickups or SUVs based on them, new and old. $24-25K with no BS for a new Maverick in my region. Maybe a dozen on-lots and unreserved. $34K for a base base gladiator if you dig a little, TONS for $38-39K. Can swing extended cab Tacomas for $28K-ish, maybe even a smidge below MSRP for a badly optioned example that's sat for a bit. Nobody here is buying basically anything over MSRP, my local Toyota dealer just never has mega desirable inventory because they don't mark up, don't have mandatory add-ons, and only sell in-market. Now, in bigger more dense regions I used to live in...

I think it would be a nice car. Super cheap too. I think I would miss the power though. If it was a manual it would be very very tempting to give it a try, sell the AMG and plan to pick up a 2011 C63 down the road. That's certainly my next move on the AMG train.
