Once I get my ILX-F511 installed, my Kenwood DNR-1007XR will be available along with a Maestro RR.

So what is your results? Same boat as most on this thread. Couple things I've come across I believe it's the Alpine has a bluetooth volume knob that can be mounted anywhere for those that are looking for a volume knob rather than the sliders. And I'm on board with some of the people I have a new unit and I don't want a microphone propped up on my steering wheel I would prefer the same location as the OEM is located in the headliner. And so many moving parts to make sure that your new head unit operates the backup camera or the lane departure or whatever else might come on your vehicle it's a head spinner for sure. I'm kind of leaning toward the Alpine. But I'm more than happy to have somebody talk me into something else.

The mic issue is easy. Make an adapter.

    Did you get it installed?
Why the change to a new unit?
I am thinking about the 509.

Not yet. I had to replace my shocks and the weather hasn't been great. I live in a townhome with no garage, so I can only work on the truck when it's not raining. Changing because there are things about the Kenwood I don't like, but the biggest to me is that it does not auto-connect to Android Auto. I'll review the alpine vs kenwood later on when I've had a chance to install the 511.
