Same here...I use trip 1 for fuel fill ups and trip 2 to track mileage of each day's ride.

    The new ranger wouldnt start?!?!?

Also like others im overly paranoid about gas and running out, never have in my life, been close, but never *knocks on wood* have run out of gas.

If you have a FI bike with the pump in the tank there's more serious reasons not to let it get close to running out. Low fuel can kill the life of the fuel pump if it allowed to cavitate frequently. Fuel is its cooling and lubrication.

tell me about it... 22k miles and idk when its going to have issues.. i already have my name on a black 23 civic si sedan so once it shows up this truck is gone! im so sick of it and i dont want another new or expensive truck... i want a fun car to drive back and forth to work thats always reliable and then save for a cheap 1st gen tundra or 2nd gen tundra for a tow pig in a few years

Did you see the recent announcement about the valve issues Ford is having? What I read said the alloy they used on the valves isn't holding up, apparently when it fails it's pretty catastrophic. Looks like its the ecoboost engines and not the 4cyls though.

nah i never pay attention to that stuff but thats a bummer since the ecoboost engines are a lot of fun mine included even thou its only a 4 banger version. if the trans worked like it should i wouldnt be thinking of selling the truck for a car but its already having issues so im out!

Technically, I believe filtering is moving forward at a stoplight/intersection, while splitting is in moving traffic. Filtering should be legal everywhere. I believe splitting should too but that's a different argument.

I'm definitely guilty of some high speed splitting but only when traffic is moving at a similar speed...gotta keep the speed differential within reasonable limits.

I'm always getting stuck in traffic, joy of commuting 20 freeway miles every day at peak rush hour times lol. Sometimes it feels like half my ride home is throwing up deuces at people who make extra room for me. I think my asymmetric headlights definitely help with visibility as well compared to most bikes' symmetrical or singular headlight.

People are very aware in California. I've said it before, I feel safer on my bike than in my truck. People regularly move out of my way, or delay lane changes when they see my bike behind them, whereas with my truck I will regularly get people cutting me off dangerously, or failing to yield when they should. Which is ridiculous logic if you think about it, as my truck is significantly heavier, can cause way more damage, and cannot stop nearly as well.

I fortunately can say I have never run out of gas in my life. But I did have that flat a couple months back. I called out that day lol as I wasn't prepared. Won't have to next time though.

Yup, I use trip 1 for fill-ups, trip 2 to track my mileage per month and see if i hit under/over 1k.

I should probably be better about this. I usually look to fill up about 10 miles or so after my fuel light comes on (showing 35 miles left). Mine just came on when I got to work this morning...was gonna fill up in 20 mi once I got home but maybe I'll do it right as i leave work lol

Great news! The battery powered tire pump i I bought fits under the seat! And it was cheaper than the garbage Stop N Go pump too.

lol, I have the same one, in the same place. Fit perfect.
    Edit;
There is an actual space for a giant padlock that fits the pump perfect.

I had to hit it with a heat gun for a bit to flatten out a small hump and it slips right in and clears the seat.

On a related note: I love that little ICON tool kit. So freaking handy. Got it as a wedding shower present last Spring and am still amazed at all the times I use it over a full size tool.

Yeah I would say it’s probably the best thing HF sells! I replaced the Philips bits with JIS bits though.

I wish it had 8/10/12mm sockets instead of the torx bits

It has the 1/4" adapter in there, if I'm taking it on a ride I'll just throw in a few loose sockets in a plastic bag with the sizes depending on what bike I'm riding. But yeah, you're not wrong. Some nutsetter shaped ones that go in directly would be sweet.
