I finally did it!!

Crazy story but basically on Saturday I found a UNICORN in Cleveland, TN… 2023 slightly used TRD Sport Premium 6MT with all the bells & whistles, leather, moonroof, heated seats, etc… it had 7900 miles. Practically new! This morning I called down there to make sure I was first in line for it. And the only way I was gonnna make it down quickly from my home here outside of DC was for my newly minted Flight Instructor son who flew me down in one of the flight school’s Cirrus SR22s from N Virginia, an amazing trip in itself!

Truck was being sold at $42,500… after negotiating some, I purchased it for $41,500. (Roughly $44k out the door for tax title etc.)

Made it down by air in 2.5hrs, took me over 8 to drive it back but man I’m in love with this truck!

I’m an ecstatic new Taco owner ✌️.. she’s a blast to drive! Thanks for all y’all’s help!

Congrats! I lucked out and found my '22 TRD OR MGM 6 speed 45 minutes away from here. Only had 2500 miles on it when I bought it in April.

You're gonna love those LED headlights!

 

Got to use them for half of my 8 hour drive last night. Holy road illumination Batman!

 

That is a very sweet truck. The prices these days, though....... I got my 2017 Off Road 6MT brand new for $36K out the door. In California, of all places.

That there is a true statement. I got my full size 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn in Oct 2019 for $38,500. Fully loaded!

 

LOL. I bought my 2001 Dodge 2500 long bed, quad cab Cummins 4x4 in September 2000 for $32K out the door. And back then, the Cummins was a $4K upgrade. And a Tacoma from that time was probably ~$22K - $25K. When I was shopping for my current truck in 2017, a new Cummins was $75K, which was largely why I now drive a Tacoma and not another full sized truck.
