Trying to source a new frame for my 2nd gen, 2006 access cab. Found a 2021 double cab frame in decent shape. Question, anyone ever do this or know how different things are? I have no issues moving around mounts cross members etc.

I've undercoated both and they look damn similar. Wouldn't be surprised if it just bolts up

The crossmembers are different between 3rd gens and 3rd gens, depending on drivetrain options. The differences are frustratingly small - like the bolts are located one to two inches away - just barely enough that you can't shoehorn a mismatched part. Whether the outside rails/dimensions are the same between 2nd and 3rd... I don't know. I would guess that its close since the suspension is interchangeable. But again, the differences might be frustratingly small.

I’m picking up the 2021 double cab 5’ bed frame on Saturday. I’ll post pictures and try to update the process
