What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got my RCI rocksliders installed today.

 

Dang, these look so good. I'll be getting the same ones eventually. How was the install?

 

I had a local shop put them on.

 

Accumulator deleted. ‍

Installed N2 Designs remote start.

Installed MESO puddle pods.

Installed Trail Edition grill. Ran into an issue where the front camera isn't centered inside. So now I have to choose between it being centered from the interior or the exterior. Anyone have suggestions?

Undercoated my pro skid plate with WoolWax to improve the look.

Upgraded all my speakers and tweeters to Kicker ones. Also WoolWaxed the inside of the doors while I had the door speakers out.

Built a prototype platform. Mostly use it for the dog and putting my fridge. Also made some paracord arm grabs I put on the headrests.


Changed my shifter.

Installed 2 Lo Mod and moved the BSM switch. Also got the wireless Android Auto Motorola device (loving it).

Added a gimmick switch, not sure where to hook it up to yet. Want to move it to the overhead when MESO comes back in stock with the panel for that.

Installed the MESO flip fob for my key, got screen protectors for the radio and dash.

Got the DDI molle panel, relocated the extinguisher, and patched up.




Also added some stickers.



Not pictured:
-Swapped lug nuts out for black ones for when I eventually change to bronze rims.
-Put on a steering wheel cover for my dirty hands.

honest question, what is the purpose of the lights under the truck?

 

Well. It could be to see the ground under the truck. But probably not.

 

I asked the guys at the Tire & Mag shop where I got my wheels why guys do that. Is it buying too low offset rim not knowing how it will look on the truck and he said no they like it like that

 

My guess ...

In the middle of nowhere ... rattlesnakes and other critters hiding under the truck for warmth, other things that blew under or were thrown under (assuming someone hates you THAT much) before you drive away ...

Lights that extend out from under before you step out for when you are exiting the vehicle are helpful but what about when you are walking up to?

 

How long did it take for you to receive the switch when you ordered the first one?

THAT is what I consider very dangerous. But I am also disturbingly attracted at the same time.

I'd send it back. I know you don't wanna hear that since it means taking everything apart and then running that wire again, but if the camera isn't centered then whatever vendor it came from should rectify the problem.

 

I've seen her on YouTube. Smart and heavily modified. A very expensive combination.

 

No ha ha, it was done over several months, just haven't posted any pics since the last modifications.

I don't think it's the camera, the grill is somehow about a quarter inch towards the passenger side. Though just looking at it, it looks even on both sides. When I centered the camera on the original grill it was centered both outside and inside.

 

I was gonan say, holy crap you're a machine. I do like 2-3 mods tops in a day and I am done.

Like today I scrapped off the bubbling on my sliders' powdercoat and repainted it. Did my undercoat many hours later and then had to wash my truck and I feel like.. done.

 

I installed mine last Saturday. Did a couple of the bolts touch the brake line?

 

Picked it up at the dealer today after the second service (~15000 km). Wife dropped me off in her 2019 DCSB Sport premium. A shopper was checking them both out while I paid inside. He seemed quite interested.

Service manager came out and mentioned how much the guys liked my truck…even more than hers. That dude knows his customers…..

Naturally, I had to rev it up over 5k on departure…to catch up with my wife.‍♀️
