Dang it! How & why did I miss this? I'm either super forgetful or I didn't hear it was this past weekend. I've been super busy the past few months, so I may have just missed the invite.
Glad you guys and gals had a blast tho. Would've been great to see y'all.

    well this evening was ok.

pulled the super duty into the barn/shop & yanked the front wheels. got the rotors changed & new calipers & brake pads mounted.

stopped there for the day as the back had enough of the heavy lifting & grunting at that point. later tomorrow will fill the calipers & then put the new rubber lines on & get them bled out.

funny thing was that the pads still looked new & the calipers still even had the fomoco stickers on them & its got 265,000 miles on it.
keep getting a heavy brake dive to the right though, so its all getting changed. did the slide pins & such a couple months back & it was fine for the trip to Georgia.... then on the way home thru the mountains it started diving again. i dont like that & since it pulls heavy loads a good bit? its getting all new parts. no need to screw around when ya got 10 to 14k on the trailer behind ya.

other news: my lil man Browser is getting that tail surgery in the morning. hoping this goes as well as it can for whats going on. with English Bulldogs you are taking a risk every time they go under. Hes in great health & isnt fat, so at 2 yrs old hoping that he breezes thru & then we never have this problem again. im a "girl dad".... blessed with 3 daughters (23,25,33), so this lil guy is the closest thing im gonna have to a son. Actual conversation

Getting the kid a new dresser.

Me" so do you like the small drawers or the big drawers?"

    Kid" the normal ones"

Me " is that small or large?"

    Kid "normal"

He then got mad at me.

thanks guys! im sitting here on the couch with him now, giving him some extra attention.

love talking about my bullydogs! They give so much joy & comfort. impossible to be unhappy or stressed when these burp, snot & fart all over you. They keep you in giggle fits all the time.

they have a fancy name for the tail thing.... pretty common in English, French & many other bulldogs. depending on the shape of their tail: straight, corkscrew, knotted. THey can get some serious problems with how it comes out of their spine & makes a tail pocket of skin/fur around it. This can lead to some really serious infections & hot spots, no matter how good/often you clean them.

This little guy when we were looking at him had a perfectly straight tail & no pocket... so we figured for sure he would be fine. as he grew into a 65lber though? his rear end grew & all of the sudden he had such a deep pocket that all you see is the end of his almost 3" tail. his skin is so tight around his tail now that it rubs raw & makes him very uncomfortable. Our vet doesnt do this surgery, so had to take him to another vet that does. lucky for us he is an Ohio State U trained vet & they specialize in this. This particular Vet has already done a bunch of these surgery's this year & hes local to us.

there ya go & now you know another of the many health issues that EBD's can have. im quite nervous for lil man as we lost a EBD before when she was 16 weeks old. These guys are so loving & such great family animals if you are willing to do the work & carry the never ending medical bills that come with them. This is the first issue this guy has had other than when he got a thorn in his eye running thru the woods. that was scary & narly to watch them cut out of his eye.

Poppy is my other EBD & she is 5. the only health issue she has ever had is head shake, which is a type of mild seizure disorder that many of these have. She is the old style of EBD from the early 1900s, longer nose, few wrinkles, very muscly & about 52lbs. shes an absolute beast of strength, speed & cardio. most people havent seen this type of EBD & are very surprised by how fast she is. she is BossBitch of our 4 dogs. She is the smallest, but also the absolute pack leader & she will flat out tear into the other 3 all at the same time if they cross her. They literally gang up on her & she handles them all at the same time.

If i havent posted a milk jug video for you guys here will do so later in the week. it might be over in the dog thread.

    It was disappointing.
Very hilly and the rides Carol wanted to go on were closed.
    That’s ok.
