What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I’ve found some too, just none within a a relative proximity, most are a 6 to 12 hour drive.
There are some options on FB marketplace that are closer though. But different color and manual window, which if I have to I will get, I’m not looking to be super picky with this, just want my truck secured, as the window is busted out and the door has numerous openings in it from the metal being cut open. He backed into me with a massive dump truck.

Maybe ask if he's willing to cut rent to pay for it, barter with em. That just may work so his ins won't go up. Otherwise start looking and let your insurance deal with it .
It's not me but if he's pulling this on you then he has done it before and expects you to cower, because he's a bully. He knows your situation and is taking advantage. You know that as you stated.

Yea, I’m going to address everything with him calmly and assertively, I don’t want to give the impression I’m going to bend over for this guy, I’m not, I’m just looking to make the most strategic and beneficial moves given my situation and doing my damndest to keep my ego out of it, which isn’t easy.

 

Installed a @C4 Fabrication steel bumper today. The fit and finish is fantastic! I ended up painting it to match the body with textured bed liner on the top middle surface. Anyone know OTOH if the @Diode Dynamics stage 2” fit these bumpers? I’m kind of partial to DD.

I’ll have the stock bumper for sale soon if anyone is interested.

 

I took a couple days off replacing the knock sensors, so today im removing coolant lines and to do so. I will have that done today. Then comes the spark plug tunnel and the valve cover gasket replacements! Ugh. What a chore this whole thing is, but I will know my truck inside and out by the time Im finished! Sometime next week, maybe?! LOL! Just kiddin! Talk tomorrow!

Your landlord sounds like a dog with a bark bigger than its bite. Like the others said, see if this fuck will settle outside of insurance to make your life easier. But you’d need all this shit it a written agreement or your back to square one.

Also get very familiar with your rights and statute of limitations. File a police report if you want to get things documented should you leave your current situation and decide to get what’s right within the time limits later on.

Not at all the same landlord situation but I recently had a problem with a predatory corporate landlord and they basically stole a few hundred dollars from me. Just by filing in small claims for the maximum amount allowable in the state I was living which was 3x that wrongly withheld, they bent over and agreed to give my money back if I withdrew the filings. Got my money back and that was that.

Well, she’s not open to the elements anymore, and I can drive her around without a window open, and all the glass is cleaned up.
It’s not pretty but on the inside it’s crystal clear, as seen through the first, after pic, taken from the good window on the driver’s side. There were deep gashes in the door, that went all the way through to the inside, which is why I went so low with the wrapping.
I feel better already, given the circumstances, at least if it rains I’m in the clear. Now I just need to find a door!

I get that you’re in a fragile state with your living arrangement but why is he not paying for this if he’s the one who backed into your truck?

He’s obviously using the leverage he has over you with you being his tenant to not pay for it.

No, nothing to be sorry for, that’s exactly what he’s doing, and I may lawyer up, we’re going to have a talk tomorrow, and pending on how it goes, we’ll see, just trying to avoid further complicating my life if I can help it, nothing I’ve done to myself, sort of a series of unfortunate events kind of thing.

Trimmed front mud flaps to fit larger tires. The Toyo 275/70r17 R/T Trails hit flaps but cleared the cab mounts by around 1/2" at full lock. Trimmed to clear. Also, trimmed an inch off bottom of rear flaps... ended up around 12.5" from bottom of flap to the ground... trimmed bottom of fronts to match. Tools used: oscillating cutting tool, dremel pin router, heat gun.

 

Got mail letting me know my Air Injector Pump was being recalled and made an appointment to get it replaced on Monday. Thought they'd make a big deal about it because I put a different filter on it but got it done same day
Also thinking it's time to upgrade the paint job the White has been starting to chip for a bit now and wouldn't mind giving it a fresh look.

 

My jack bars are totally ruined and stripped, what have you guys done for replacements? Thoughts on this? Toyota quoted me $174, without a new jack.

Replace it with a harbor freight bottle jack?

Installed Ditch light brackets, lights (not wired up yet), and ditch light antenna mount all so I could install a Laird GMRS "No ground plane" antenna.
