Anyone with a black 3rd gen interested in my ARB snorkel? Looking to swap out fenders, so no cutting necessary.

Are you just going to fill in the holes on the pillar? Or did you just use tape?

Having grunt in your name and a unit, I’m guessing you might be “qualified” for VA disabilities. There is a great reddit page dedicated to helping Vets get the disability they earned. If you wanna PM I can send you the link if you’re curious.
You may already know and have them, just wanted to mention in case.

 

Going to throw my two cents in here…

First of I second @Scrovak … Fuck your landlord. That’s a complete dick move to hold that over you like that!

That said I also understand where you’re coming from with being in a situation where you don’t want to muddy the waters anymore than necessary.

There is an option to have it fixed and not worry about your landlord… Have you considered reporting it to your insurance as a hit and run? I’d take the truck to a heavily used parking lot, somewhere without cameras. This is important! Then call a non emergency police number to report it. You’ll need a police report. Call your insurance, tell th you went into an establishment of your choice, and came out to a massacre!

To my knowledge, this will not be a strike to your insurance and your rates will not go up. Just like hitting a deer. You will be covered as long as you have full coverage.

I know this is a bit of a sleazy move… but you’re stuck in a messed up situation already. Just do what you think is best. And don’t tell a soul about how your truck was fixed. Not even the misses.

While this may not be a strike to your insurance record, what it WILL be is insurance fraud. Chances of getting found out are definitely low, but the risk associated is significant.

Rush factor low… if smart. Find perfect place and play the part of freshly pissed off truck owner. Yes, it is a slight risk… but if performed properly, could be the perfect-imperfect plan to a shitty situation.

Thank you for the link and thank you for posting the disability info, I do have a solid VA disability rating, and it does help, but in these present times…, our dollar just isn’t worth what it used to be. I’m going to manage, and I will get back on top of things soon enough, just treading water until the turn is all.

Well, she’s not open to the elements anymore, and I can drive her around without a window open, and all the glass is cleaned up.
It’s not pretty but on the inside it’s crystal clear, as seen through the first, after pic, taken from the good window on the driver’s side. There were deep gashes in the door, that went all the way through to the inside, which is why I went so low with the wrapping.
I feel better already, given the circumstances, at least if it rains I’m in the clear. Now I just need to find a door!

Just a small portion of all the cool junk that I saw on a buddy's property today here in WV. Most of it was all buried in heavy brush. He also has a 1967 Nova SS 327 4sp car that his brother drove into a makeshift shed back in the 1980's. He has numerous out buildings & 8 tractor trailers full of old motorcycles, dirtbikes & 3wheelers that we couldn't get into today. I'm definitely goin back in the winter when everything is dead. Unfortunately nothing is for sale.
