2.4L TDC Q. I’m I on right track here?

    Clock Volt meter/LSPV Delete/Hyundai 16’s/FP gauge/after 9months of wrenching ZERO oil leaks
    -take distributor cap off
    -turn crank shaft bolt
    -align the mark on inner most pulley (fan clutch/alternator) to the zero mark on the gauge on water pump. This mark on pulley is closer to radiator (on the outside of inner pulley)
    -this pulley mark at zero should also match the rotor on distributor to be pointing to #1 cylinder…..let’s say 2 o’clock

    Totally off?
    Suggestions?

    only saw one video after searching…..for a 2.7L

    this is in preparation for distributor O-ring replacement

    How about the firing order
    2.4L with distributor

    I will use Roadkill screwdriver method to make sure TDC

    Put 2.4L at TDC for distributor O ring install

    you can just mark dist, where its at before removal and put it back to the same spot.

    So pointed to #1cly…..like 2 o’clock or doesn’t matter as long as goes back same way?

    I'll use a small punch,chisel or paint marker to index the rotor position to the distributor housing and then the dist housing to somewhere on the block
