Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

I think when I went we landed on the 22nd, did the Christmas market on the 23rd, then everything was closed the 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th (sunday). We got a few days then of things being open but then it all kind of repeated itself with New Years. At the moment all that is left for family there is my mother-in-law's 1st cousin, but luckily he is fluent in english and I speak bad german now so things are better. That initial trip we were spending a lot of time with the great aunt of the family and she spoke zero english, so everyone in the room spoke none as well. I just sat there and observed things

I’ve been mowing for 3 days . Finally got the upper part of my back lawn done ,it’s still wet and it’s been over 80* for 3 days

Pickles are yucky. I have my own supply of peppers though. Got a chocolate ghost and a regular ghost out of the garden a few days ago.
I was actually looking at Drew's services on FB this morning since someone in New England Tacomas made a post and reminded me I need to undercoat. I drive through Springfield MA pretty regularly, like I will this afternoon, so I can definitely stop by some day, get it done right, and continue on my way to VT.

 

And now the dew these mornings is so heavy I can't mow until the afternoon

Was hoping to get lawns done tomorrow morning, but I guess we'll see how the rain and fog are...

 

I've employed my wife to cut ours today while I am at the office all day. Freshly sharpened blades and new transmission fluid. A few mows mulching leaves to be fertilizer and then the bagger goes on in a few weeks for the serious cleanup. The bagger on my tractor is a whole to-do so I am stalling having to put it on.

 

I scalped mine end of last week so I'm good till next week.

 

I'm still using FF.
No issues. Underneath looks gunky after years of using the stuff, but it's solid
With ramps and a good compressor, it's a fairly easy process.

I will be going the RP-342 route. I work 6 days a week and dont have time to take my truck to someone to get stuff like that done. Plus from everything I have read and seen, the Cosmolene is easy to use and holds up very well.

That looks wonderful. I love venison. I made a venison shepherds pie last week.

 

The first seat kicked my ass. The second will be much easier.

 

Dehydrator or low temp oven?

 

Actually I use an old smoker for the smoking portion, then into the dehydrator.
Brine is my "Kitchen Sink" recipe. Everything goes in it including Bourbon and honey.

 

The second seat took a 1/4 of the time

 

I did my truck with rp-342 cosmoline over 3 years ago, and it only needed small touchups around the rear leafs. With ff it was crazy, the stuff was gone by spring, and you had to do the entire chassis over every year. I figured there had to be something way better. I only use ff on my tractor decks now.

Cleaned the mower deck and sharpened the blades today . Mowed the front and side yard again today . Back yard not so much , soggy yet and here comes more rain tomorrow and the weekend
