Just for comparison this is what my shock tower for a 12" CO looks like, it has the same shape as the wheel well and then my bed cage bolts through the bed to support it. My axle tabs are on the front of the axle approx 45 degree down :

They are using a 4runner axle and probably the same 4runner geometry that their 4runner kits have, wonder how that translates over to a Tacoma geometry wise lol

There are multiple disc conversion kits for Tacos, I've done it on my truck. I would be surprised if anyone went through a complete axle swap just for disc brakes unless you came across the axle for free ?

It has the factory link mounts still, since their kits dont use all new bracketry and reuses the lower link mounts, passenger side upper link, and panhard

I think you may have misinterpreted something their kit does include everything, that's not oe T4R axle stuff on the tacoma kit :

Ah i didnt read their description, but in their photos they are using the 4runner axle with the factory brackets like they do with their 4runner/Gx 3 links, which to me isnt strong at all. They probably just replicated the 4runner brackets to slap on the tacoma kits they are selling, thus the same geometry on the Tacoma as the 4runner.

Yeah I think it' a typo, compare my pic of a 12" to their pic ...

side note - that slider looks like it could slip off or twist and bind on the bottom of the shock body ?

Its a 4runner axle lmfao, you can clearly see the stock 4runner lower link mounts, and the upper link mount is also factory and it looks like they maybe just did a little overlay on the bracket since its pop can thickness to start with.

oh that picture is with just two top springs, they didn’t have the lower springs in stock so I threw both springs on just for a picture…lol. Also why the adjuster is cranked soo far down,

well damn my bad, for some reason the photos on their site are displaying very fuzzy / low res just like that snip I posted and it looked like it had their brackets. So in that photo they are only using their CO bracket and they have gusseted the oe brackets. Yes, I agree I would be concerned about the oe brackets too.

Seems like that lower rod end and the raised lower coil seat are a really tall combo, do you really need that clearance or config like that ? I don't think I've ever seen your links ?

The photos of their 4Runner 3 link and Tacoma 3 link kits look to use the same exact parts, minus the extras for the panhard on the Taco kit.

That reads to me like a compromise on shock mounting due to running into the wheel well on the 4Runner. But why run the same upper shock mount on the Taco?

No I’m sure I could run a flat seat but my adjuster is fairly low as it is. I thought about getting a slightly longer top spring but it’s been running so well as is I don’t feel like messing around with it more.
