I've got one; I've actually got multiple tables as I'll normally make one only for it to become a catch-all thus creating the need to make another...and another

Reminds me, I need to send that email on a table to quote

 

Every flat surface must be covered/cluttered.

 

And here I'm looking at making another table

Didn't mean to say 5/8" but instead 3/8"

1/4" = 61lbs
3/8" = 92lbs
1/2" = 122lbs
5/8" = 165lbs

Figuring out how much I want to deal with having a really bad back and all

 

Working on a bumper for the 60 series. How am I doing?

 

First pic told me = very inconsistent

Second pic told me = yep, bad positioning would do that

Whether you're a novice or a pro, one thing every successful welder will tell you is that you need to establish your ABC's which means ALWAYS BE COMFORTABLE

Set yourself up in a position where you're as naturally relaxed as possible, then do a quick dry run to ensure you're not limited in space and/or movement, then run your weld

Do that every single time, and I guarantee you'll lay down a better bead

 

Took a job at one of the chemical plants I was working at as a contractor. Don’t weld as much as i used to but I still do a little bit. Some of my recents. Got to do some vessel entry repairs this week. My fitter in picture being hole/fire watch.

 

Steady hands make better welds. I always try to use my left hand to brace my right, usually by spreading the left fingers and dragging them along the surface I'm welding (outside the heat zone) and using my pointer and thumb to cradle my right wrist. If that's not possible, setting my elbow on something helps, like my knee if I'm sitting.

 

After a year of neglecting the welder I finally gave myself a project where I can use it again. Super rusty and .023 is so unforgiving on thin wall tube for looks

Of course I'll post my best ones and not my trash ones.

Basically added locations to mount L-track so I can use my Bike Binderz to secure my bike vs straps.

That's a sweet upgrade for that hitch carrier. I hate tying off my bikes on my hitch thing, always makes me nervous, no matter how many times I say that aint going anywhere

 

Yeah my strap setup was pretty tight and reliable compressing both front and rear suspension, but it definitely took more time and I already damaged my fork signals moving them to strap around the forks.

I literally can load and secure the bike in a minute with the new setup. Plus more organized when unloading because I don't have straps flopping everywhere.

Large ones at 10" round whereas the small sets are 5.5" round

Replacement CPC arrived so....I'll need to get a new barrel plug and solder pins 1 and 2 to this for torch on off



Then buy one of your plug-ins you linked, get that all wired in and attach said plug to the side panel

So, I am genuinely surprised just how little reaming these holes require

Holes still maintain 2" centers so this little fucker is going to be a great little asset

My 3/8" thick table should be ready soon; that one I ordered locally and it's being laser cut so I'll have two welding table fixtures

I'll still need to grab that other one that is just a few hours from me

 

Started a project and I didn't buy enough steel. I took measurements after I bought the steel (dumb I know) but I figured 40' would be enough for a shoe rack lol.



So instead I practiced on aluminum. I've been putting it off way too long. I messed with a bunch of settings and techniques and I finally feel like I'm starting to understand the process a little more. Can you tell where it started to click a little?

 

If my calculations are correct, you have more than enough space for a cnc table and more
