So this afternoon I stopped in the dealer near me with my defect battery in the bed of the truck. Was treated very nice and they installed a new Toyota battery under warranty. Now I can use the one I purchased for my 56 Wagon which has exceeded the 5 year mark. Good to know that I will have a spare in another vehicle now.
Thanks to you guys for talking me into trying it. Regards Scott

That's good to hear. It really was just that easy when I did it.

I got a new battery free at 30 months into my warranty. I had jump start everytime to get it to turn over. Left my jump box at home going to the dealer because I figured they can't let me leave if it won't start on it own.

Original battery lasted just under 3 years. My replacement is come up on 5 years.
