Prinsu wind deflector decal. Never really considered it but the deflector was starting to fade & dull a bit, so I figured why not.

That's funny ...thanks.... however....It's just a stock SR 4x4 trim with some alloy wheels and 265/75 tires. Most of my mods are just OEM.

Replaced the fender on my taco today! Dented it by hitting a mailbox while living in Colorado recently - trying to back out of a iced out rutted parking spot. lol

Took it in to get undercoated!

I tried DIY, using Cosmoline spray can - somewhat runny/drippy. Next was CRC Marine Corrosion Inhibitor. This went on more like spray paint, and not as runny. But after one can, my OCD was cured and I called the local Krown dealer. $150 - deal.

The Krown product is like a light oil. Maybe just a little thinner than Fluid Film, but worth it (to me) to have them spray the truck down. I can do spot touch-ups later.

Interesting notes: Krown and FF are relatively easy to clean up. Dawn or any other soap should do the trick. The CRC is slightly tackier, maybe like a wax. I didn’t get much overspray on me, but no problems cleaning up. The Cosmoline was different. Any drops of Cosmo on my skin left a sticky stain, kinda like tree sap. It didn’t want to wash off too easily. No skin reaction or anything, just impressed how well it held on.

I can see using the Cosmo on things like shock bolts or camber bolts - things you want to be able to get apart years from now. CRC would be good for spraying down large areas of sheet metal. I like Fluid Film for moving parts, or other nuts and bolts that get serviced frequently. And for now, the Krown is like bug spray for rust.

    YMMV

I made the bold and slightly stupid decision to cram a 6” suspension lift with 35” mud grapplers and aftermarket deep dish rims. I think riding across speed bumps doing 60 in a go cart would honestly be smoother than this rough riding SOB looks mean and lean though.9091E80F-2A9B-433E-9041-77FD92A8E6D0.jpg

Got some new tires today! I caved in to my 3rd set of 265/75-16’s instead of the 285’s I wanted after OME lift.My 16’ has 146k now! I just love this size and didn’t want to mess w any type of rubbing and get better gas mileage. Their like the old school 31x10.50-15’s to me. Had an alinement done as shown here in pics. Also saved the best old one for a good same size spare. Got 47k on last set and they looked like they could go some more except my front end was way out and I wore the inside fronts bad!

After I got home I changed the oil, air&cabin filters. What a pain as this was my 1st at home oil change on this truck. Whoever did the last oil change they way fing over tightened the oil filter. The torque spec is what 18lbs. I had to put some serious breaker bar w a big pipe to loosen. Otherwise went smoothly as if I have the time I’d rather do it myself.

3C63164D-24E6-4DC9-B96F-10C898856115.png Try running on 35” grapps and a 6” lift u feel like your either about to fly off the side of the road or dig down in a mud hole till the fame is sitting on the ground im actually shocked at how aggressive these tacomas can be when u dog them my trd sport will turn these 35’s over in 4 high bogged down to the frame and spin them 40-50 mph with ease. Thats alot of weight to spin like that for a v6 engine. Never had any problems out of my diff, motor, tranny, or driveshaft either and i dog the absolute hell out of my truck well worth the money if you ask me just dont try to tow anything over 1600 lbs the brakes no longer function like they should.

At some point I need to start bolting on some of these things. o_O

The -38 stealth indigo SCS BR6's and lug nuts arrived earlier this week. I can't decide between these or the electric teal falcon t8 seekers.

I used that radar cruise control for the first time coming back from Longview on I-5 in the wee hrs and it worked surprisingly well. Kinda neat how it decelerates on its own when sensing a slower vehicle up ahead. The it resumes it’s set speed once I change lanes. Kinda cool. Never really used CC before on account of too much fiddling and I might start to use it again on longer trips

Finally tried out my tent. It’s MUCH better than trying to sleep in a 5ft bed. Hanging out with some buddies at Overland Expo East for the weekend. I also got a hand-me-down TRD grill from my buddy for $50 and his hook road tailgate cover for free. It’s nice having friends that keep buying new stuff so I get good deals lol.

I found the same thing. Once I figured out how to use it confidently. I use it all the time in the right conditions. I even use the CC stalk to control road speed too. Sit in the slow lane sipping my Coffee and keeping my stress level down.
