Unfortunately this was before Ferd implemented those lay-flat-seats so I'll be broken down without comfort :pout:

That's actually why these early models have beds, its not for moving cargo... they can't do that. It's just for sleeping quarters

There's that experience I was looking for :luvya:

Got like 3 OBD2 readers so looks like one will be for Ferd duty only; might as well leave it hooked up 24-7 amirite

#1 reason to have one of those tuners haha, so you can de-tune the 6.0 enough to hold it together and so you can watch the coolant pressure for when the EGR or HG explodes.

That's the primo model right there, living like a king, even has backup sensors so you can be sure you hit people at walmart.

    Uhhhh yeah lol

I'll have to dig out all my 6.0l stuff from memory. but there are some things you want to keep an eye on that tell you a lot about what's important

Oil temp & Coolant temp -- if the spread is too far apart your oil cooler is clogged. You want to see them within 15 deg of each other

FICM voltage -- if FICM fails truck will crank no start, usually voltage indicates health of it

IPR percentage -- if the IPR percentage is out of a certain range you have a high pressure oil leak which is bad because the injectors are driven by HPO

All it needs is a ton of room to carry steel :D

Plus instead of local singles within 15 mins from me, it should be metal suppliers cause there's a whole fuck load nearby

Meh neither of those are really a concern on stock tuning. You absolutely cannot run any hot tunes without ARP head studs though

I'm voting no on the HPOP itself but yes on a standpipe o ring or something lol

Again, looking at the IPR percentage can tell you about it long before the truck leaves you stranded

I've never seen the standpipe orings blow out. But I've seen an HPOP fail before, I'm not really sure how they go out it's just a vane pump but man the inside was wiped... like it had 800k on it. But it's a 6.0 so it had barely made it 80k. I'm sure some of the other orings can go too.

Based on what I've heard and read here from a knowledgeable member, reliability should be on par with a 1st Gen Tacoma

Wrapped up another model last night. Getting better and feeling more freedom with how I put them together. This one was a challenge and certainly learned a lot. Paint skills silly need help but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I think I also need a better work light, my office is pretty dim making it hard to see imperfections until after the fact.
