You could become the local bulletproof guy. The thing is probably fine though, like wulf said, get some solid batteries in it and see what's up. Could be super minor

Really though I'm appalled at what 3rd Genners pay for their trucks

Sure I'll throw a jab in there for good fun, only for someone to get defensive and tell me it's not just a truck but instead "a $50k TrUcK" :duh: as if it was a damn Porsche GT3 RS

It's a mixed bag but for the most part having a reliable truck has been worth it :D

Harbor Freight has their battery charger on sale today so going to grab that

Give it 2 days to charge both batteries and if they're shot, definitely going to buy new ones

Will say I have not worked on a diesel so my dumbass questions will come later

Yeah your trucks badass for sure

One thing Ram fucked up with are the road manners on their diesel trucks

    A 2005 Ford F250/F350 handled much smoother than a damn 2020 Ram 2500/3500

They can't figure out suspension and they were still prone to death wobble in completely stock form :bananadead:

If you leave it stock and give it the ol Italian tune up from time to time to clean out the egr system you shouldn't have to worry. Most of the 6.0 issues came from young guys turning up the power and old guys never working then to clean out the system. Sure it has weaknesses but if you leave it stock, keep fresh oil in it, and drive like a human you should be fine. The 15qt oil changes every 3k miles is just insurance to me. Running the Kirkland brand currently, seems to work fine and makes it cheap.

Oh yeah this thing is gonna stay "old man stock" for sure

I'll have to start buying oil in bulk; I already buy those 12 quart bag in a box deals for my cars at home

And 3k miles sounds really manageable

Wonder what weight this thing uses 15W-40 at 15 quarts

Rotella T6 5W40 can be bought in 3 gallon packs at Sam's Club

Sometimes Amsoil 5W40 is cheaper shipped lol

I just run whichever of the 2 is cheapest at the time

Fucking thing is just so unpredictable when you ask it for power suddenly. If I slowly get into it, not much issue. It's like riding a tranq'd up bull

Ordered some Triax 10W30 synthetic hydro fluid for the crawler -- I'm hoping between that and getting the PSC resi in maybe my steering pump will quit whining and building as much heat lol

Nailed it. They need to be worked now and then to keep the EGR clean and prevent the turbo vanes from getting coked into place
