If the sun doesn’t come up in the morning I know who to blame. At least I know your diff will be quiet.

Did it do it from the first day it miles into it?
    Assuming you bought them new.
Mine started around maybe 55k, at 58 now.

I stuck my GoPro under it and recoded it, I’ll see if I can post it. It’s definitely not what I’d describe as a howl.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I used to search for a few threads describing that noise and decided to just live with it, or you can play music over it. I bought my truck brand new and I first noticed it when it was a couple months old, like 3000-4000 miles I believe

It’s a truck, not a luxury car. It’ll make some quirky sounds

You’re conflating quirky sounds with what could be the telltale sign of a problem.

Ignorance is bliss until you’re on the side of the road waiting for a tow.

Or in the middle of BFE on a logging road or worse and a 20 to 30 mile walk ahead of you.

Iridium 9575. Same thing I use as a contractor wherever DOD sends me. Have one for work and one in the truck. Problem with the Garmin in reach isn’t the equipment it’s who the distress notification gets sent to. With iridium you can call them and they will get whoever is needed in the area. Even in the Stan when you can’t reach the military unit you’re working for.

These mysterious noise threads remind me of suspense/horror movies involving ghosts. I suggest ya’ll call ghostbusters.

So far my truck isn't quite as loud. I can now heae it under load as I approach 60 and when I get off the throttle. Much faster or slower and it's quite. You'll always have some noise from a differential, but this is definitely a bit annoying.

OP: I have used Lucas, Valvoline, and now Amsoil Severe Gear on my 4.88s. Amsoil
Severe Gear has resulted in the quietest operation to date. They are dead silent. Give it a shot.

I just took my truck on the highway got it up to 50-60mph and sure enough I hear it lol. Only has 190 miles on it. I just ordered the damper and pillar pads online . I don’t feel like dealing with the dealership just gonna do it myself.

Especially if it developed over time.
What mileage did it start and was the fluid changed?
