Thats another reason of why I like it more. They are confident in the product they’ve developed.

It does seem like the best of all the ones mentioned recently but again the shock length seems odd they say it is a 14” shock under the bed ? My 12” CO are slammed to the roof of the wheel well

People mount a 14” shock under the bed quite often. Typically mounted to the axle. It looks like the shocks are mounted up high against the cab so my only other guess is where the lower shock mount is located is different on yours. Probably with a higher motion ratio.

Wicked creations just made a 3 link kit that says it can fit 16" coilovers without cutting into the bed. It's not a trailing arm setup like warfab tho

yeah but there’s a big difference in clearance required when you add a spring and lower seat into the mix when it comes to shock to axle clearance.

yup i get it but a CO mounted to a trailing arm is a whole different story. my shock tower is slammed ie: perfectly matches the contour of the inner fender and is 1/2” from the back of the cab ie: you couldn’t possibly go any higher or farther forward.

im actually in the process of wanting to update mine now that i've learned a bit more and i am going to cycle it and check it out next weekend but prelim looks at it i just dont see a 14 fitting without loosing uptravel because the body of the shock would hang down over 2” lower.

check out the difference in compressed length between a 12 & 14

the 14 is 2.6” longer compressed

**just to repeat - i understand that crawlers don’t care about that but most of these convos have been geared around “ would it be good for the desert “

The bottom of their body definitely looks lower than yours but a shorter rod end could make up an inch or two of up travel for them. It looks like a shorter rod end would work with those arms compared to yours.

Yeah, I saw the link posted up a few pages back. It’s interesting how low they put the top mount of the shock and claim they can fit a 16” shock. I haven’t see the kit in person but I do question it.

Your upper shock mount is about as high as you can get it. Looking at your current setup though you may be able to get a longer shock in there if the lower mount was further back on the arm. Your motion ratio would change but I would be curious if it would work.

I realize a 14” shock is longer than a 12 and am not interested in sacrificing up travel to get a longer shock in there. I’ve installed a 14” smoothy with an Archive relocation and it wasn't ideal but the Archive relocation doesn’t put the upper mount as high as yours, JDs, or what I’m assuming Warfab has done.

Warfab does claim this is a “hybrid” kit but I am under the impresses that is more due to the anti-squat ration than anything else. I obviously can’t say until I get to mess around with it.

***I can’t copy/paste a pic your link setup even though I tried. I did notice hat you’re running an extended eyelet on your setup. Is that a 4”? The Warfab kit uses a standard 2” eyelet***
