    According to the 2022 JD Powers Initial Quality Study, "initial vehicle quality notably declined" the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Compared with 2021 results, warranty issues increased by 11% per 100 vehicles. But not all were effected equally. Toyota was still above average in quality.     The only issue with my ‘21 was the creaky clutch pedal that I correctly diagnosed before my first of five appointments to fix it. If you get one and end up with that minor irritant of a problem, just have a local shop put some wheel bearing grease on the connection to the master cylinder. They skimped on the lube at the factory.
