Never heard of beer bread... now I'm digging around... and that should make a killer grilled cheese with some real homemade tomato soup... or even a potato soup....

    Guess it's a good thing I don't bake...

Yep, grilled cheese or even just griddle toast. I also like to slice it up to use as hotdog buns.

You can make just about anything into beer bread by just subbing water for beer - I like Bud Heavy, but any pissy domestic is great. Don't use IPAs or stouts. You can also sub beer for water in a Jiffy or Bisquick instant mix to make beer biscuits real easy.

I made a beer bread on my pellet smoker and it was incredible. I want to try some other breads.

Ugh. Muffler and main pipe croaked. Oddly it sounds louder after being replaced earlier today. WTF my life.

Just bought some tickets to see Goalkeeper at the Beeracks in CT again. Saw them back in July with Driveways and they were awesome. Can't complain about $10 a ticket, with fees it was $38 for 3 tickets

That sounds like a good show. I just looked it up it's a Sunday but i enjoy those smaller venues and shows way more.

This is from a show a ways back, Dave and Tim Hause. My wife is a huge fan, this was some brewery in Quincy they just set up a sound system in the back room like yeah have at it see what happens. He did an acoustic set at the bull run in Shirley (if you know it, I'd be blown away. If you look it up, "what really??") In 2021 and it was a great show.

Gotta get out there more. Still a ton of great bands doing the small town thing, I'm just out of touch.

Yea it's a Sunday but it's only 6 to 8. I went down there back in July for a Thursday night show, that had 4 bands and 4 hours of music. I like the small shows and they're cheap. End up buying a shirt or something from the band. Other cool aspect is the bands are small enough that they run their merchandise table so you can talk with them

I'm redoing the glass and door gaskets on my pellet stove. I wanted to just buy the entire door. It was $120 and I figured my time is worth the difference in price, then I've got extra glass, latches, brackets, etc. from the old one in case something happens some day. Win win. Unfortunately, my order got canceled because it's out of stock and I can't find it anywhere. I ordered the gaskets instead and got to work.

One of the glass panes was stuck to a retainer bracket and of course it cracked when I finally got it to separate. Now between the cost of the gaskets and that pane of glass I'm into it for the same amount as the complete door making it all the more frustrating that it was unobtainable.

Damn, that really is an annoying turn of events.
There any way you can order custom sized/shape glass from a glass shop?

Probably, but I ordered the OEM glass with the gasket already applied. Otherwise I need to order another gasket too.
