Grease gun WTF!

    I blew my grease gun apart. Seems the plunger assembly is broken. Is there a place where you can buy replacements? This gn was $60.00, and its a great grease gun (when it worked) and I dont want to have to replace it if I dont have too. ANy ideas are welcomed. :)

    what kind of grease gun is it Chris??? try grainger.com, as i think they may have replacement parts for different make grease guns!!

    Grainger is good also if it is made by Lincoln which is a lot of top quality grease guns you can look up there site, Lincoln.com. Also Napa auto parts can get most rebuild parts for them as well.

    The piston blew apart, so I took it to Napa (which is where I bought it from) and they had a rebuild kit for it. I replaced the piston, shaft, and spring. the only problem was that the spring in the kit is too short, so I can only pump about 3/4 of a tube before it looses tension and stops. After I rebuilt it, my neighbor, Bob (the guy who had his flag stolen), gave me a grease gun his Dad used in WW2. SO, I made out OK. :)

    some of them old grease guns are way the hell better than some of these newer grease guns that you can buy!!

    Oh Hell yeah. This thing is BEEFY. It has all sorts of US patent numbers on it. Bob doesnt have a son-in-law, or grand son, or the like, so He has been giveing me "Hand me downs", like tools, and stuff. He sees me working on stuff all the time and says "Hey, I think you might like this"...:D
