Picked it up for $1000 in 1988 as a 27 year old Mustang lover. It had been sitting in an overgrown back yard since 1979. Hood off with the 390 missing. ZERO rust california car. Towed the car home

Put in my back shop, tore down to the very last bolt. Rotisserie mounted and walnut blasted. EVERY part rebuilt or new old stock if possible. Alot of 428cj guts on a numbers matching GT 390S block and heads. Forged TRW, blue print level balance yada yada. Custom built 67 styled steel rims (15x7 and 15x9)

Had family, worked on it when time and finances alowed. Fast forward years later. Finally saw daylight 2003. A few car shows.

A serious personal injury forced the sale in 2011. It sold at the 1st Orange County California Barrett-Jackson. Was honored to have Barrett-Jackson do a feature on it. My sons were able to drive it on stage also!

 

I'd love that truck! Years ago a neighbor had a 67 Mercury f100. It was stolen and ended up found in Mexico running pipes in a feild.

My 67 Mercury draggin' wagon. Bought from kid whos grampa (1st owner) passed away. Still had the dealership plastic seat covers on it. Most people arent old enough to remember when they did that. Rare 410 FE monster motor.

I’ll never forget my first time seeing one of these. I was about 10 years old [1971’ish] and camping with my family in the Adirondacks. I walked past a campsite and there was a green one with two propellers sticking out of the back. What!?

The next day I watched him drive it into the lake and cruise around. Coolest thing I had ever seen up until that point.
