    just come up with some good story about safety lol. that its "safer" to have mounted up high so you dont wreck your spare and safer to get to when you need it.

    Ive been running 255/85/16 since March. Some don’t like the thin tires but they have taken me every I’ve needed to be since then. I went with them as no modification of anything needed. No lift no cutting no spacers no hammering no waving the magic wand. Just need stock wheels at + 25. There is another positive offset that Toyota has on our trucks but I can’t remember it. That works as well. Closer to 0 things get very close. These are a true 33 at 33.2

    The 285 spare (285/70/17) just barely fits. Definitely want it on a lift with a couple of beefy tire guys to convince it to fit. I didn't have to hammer anything, so perhaps I just got lucky.
