    Damn I should have gone to Chelmsford. That’s what I wanted but I got much lower, lol. Also got mine at a higher price and a lot of time.

    What did they do, cat back? Probably have a louder muffler if so. When I did my cat back I asked for the quietest stainless they had..

    All this reroute talk made me crawl under mine and get a plan together. Cut the red lines and weld the factory flange ~15" further back. Cut out blue line and weld another pipe in to extend it around ~15". At the green line cut out the drivers side portion(on the bottom) and weld a notched, level 90 in its place to go to the passenger side with another 90 going straight to the cat. That should put it right around the red circle.
    upload_2023-10-9_20-40-3.png
    Anyone see any issues with this that I am missing? The only joint I will need to fully weld in place is the rear flange portion. Everything else will be tacked on truck then taken to the bench and finish welded.

    the only issue that I see is that if at any point you choose to replace your rear exhaust, the phalange will not match up with the original distance of a stock or aftermarket replacement so you will have to then look into building your own exhaust system after that rather than a direct bolt on. If that is your original intention then I can't see any other issue. you're pretty much saying that it will look like this, correct?

    Similar to that but I dont think I'll rotate the flange like he did. And less bends sense I'll be buying sections of mandrel bent 304

    Good point about the replacement, but I think if I need to moving the flange wouldnt be too bad.

    @TacoTuesday603 , agree with @crashngiggles

    A good quality cutback like borla, move the flange, and you could remove tailpipe at at will for wheeling, so, it doesn't get mangled.

    But, I'd just send it, and worry later if you're good burning SS...

    What kind of stainless John? They consider aluminized coated stainless. If that's what you got you might wanna throw some header paint on it

    Fair enough. That aluminized coating doesn't last very long lol. But yes better safe than sorry

    Was your muffler still good? and you just got some piping? Because that price is outstanding..So I'm thinking alluminized..unless it was just piping...The stock exhaust is almost $500 cat back...and it's going to be $500-700 for a catback replacement. My stock unions are shot too...As soon as I did this...my muffler disintegrated from the inside out...

    All I got was the y pipe rerouted. Muffler was untouched. But I’d bring it in. Nice going there because it’s just an exhaust shop, they won’t try to sell you on anything else.

    yeah,
    I brought mine in to the marlboro shop..
    $700...But as I said the stock cat back is $500...so $200 for the labor and the extra B.S....reasonable...
    I could buy the stock cat back for $500, ship it home and then try to connect it to the rusted out tail end of my cat...But it won't fit so I'll have to cut off all the excess and then finagle a way to connect the pipe to the cat...
    They'll cut/weld the proper connection...and save me 4-6hrs of swears in the driveway...I can save those for the other parking brake cable install (Did one side tuesday)
