Should I bring some tools so we don't have to share and knock things out quicker?

Bring what ever you think will help.

Cool thing is, we just gotta get done with what we can. We don't have to get this done tomorrow. I've got until early January to get the projects done.

Hoping to get the gas tank re-located and the front leaf perches done.

The front leaf perches are going to be a pain in the ass. The rear attachment point of the sliders is right in the middle of the leaf perch.

I made my own fuel tank lift and holy hell lifting the tank is a tedious pain in the ass, just a heads up. Awesome mod though, I didn't think I would notice it as much as I did, I should have lifted the tank like 10yrs ago:rofl:

We all just kind of looked at each other thinking "is the tank full?...empty?...guess we'll find out"

Was pretty empty and easy with a few hands!

Took the opportunity to finish boxing the frame out.
    20231009_164920.jpg 20231009_164914.jpg

Was way out of position, filling really big gaps, and I don't know shit about welding... so... I really don't give a shit what they look like.

Picked up the DOM tubes for the traction bar today. Shit is no joke. 2 inch, 1/4 wall, for the bottom (bash) tube. 1.5 inch, 1/4 wall, for the top (adjustment) tube.

    20231009_204725.jpg

Also picked up a 1.75 stick for the rear shock hoops.

Test fitted the fuel tank. The way it's going to sit is going to be awesome.

I cut the pinch weld at the back of the cab to give me a bit more clearance. And I'll probably hammer the floor board up a little as well.

I have to cut the front mounting plate back off the cross member, the way it located with my welds ended up putting the plate about 2 inches too far toward the center (driveline).

Also, while I have the plate off I'll weld some nuts to the back of it. The stock mount has the nuts welded, the new mount doesn't. And trying to get a wrench up in there is not a game I want to play.

How did you determine the location for the front mounts?

    @Speedytech7 gave me his measurements.

They worked out almost perfect. @foxrcing07 and I verified them by measuring from front eye to center pin on the 63s, and front (63) shackle to center pin on the Toyota leaf. The measurement is actually the same.

Initially Morgan and I thought we were an inch too forward. But that was because we were taking the measurement of the 63 leaf, front eye to center pin unsprung. It wasn't matching the measurement from the 63 perch to the Toyota center pin with weight. As soon as you account for the flattening of the leaf. It puts me right where it needs to be.
