I haven't seen those Bosch injectors before. What model year is your truck?

That product page is a bit confusing to me. In the fitment section it says '95-'98 for the 3.4L applications. Yet up above it says all '96-'04s. Your OEM ECU will be able to automatically adjust to differences between stock injectors and aftermarket ones, but I have been told the adjustment range is limited to something like a 10% variance in volume and flow rate.

Are you able to run a boost referenced vacuum line to the stock FPR? It's working for me, my fuel setup is stock except for the Aeromotive 340 pump. I don't think my injectors have ever been touched and probably won't be unless I go full Haltech.

@ridah4824 how old is your timing belt and water pump?

I'm still pretty low on boost (3.6 psi) and with an inner cooler the extra fueling might not be needed as much since the intake temperatures are a bit lower that a SC setup would be.

I was confused by that too, but I confirmed with motorwest that they should work and be plug and play/no tuning (at least for my 2003, so I suggest confirming with motorwest yourself if you choose to run them). I guess I'll find out in a few weeks when I get everything in and installed.

The stock FPR has a vacuum line to it that gets attached to the supercharger right after the throttle body once you install it, so that should change the fuel pressures enough hopefully. I'm 99% sure this is also the line that magnusen suggests teeing into if you run a boost gauge.

As for my timing belt and water pump, I did those around this time last year, so they only have about 10-15k on them.

The T into the stock FPR for the boost guage is how I have it for my 03 as well

Do you have a plan for one way check valves on the fuel Evap System?

Good to hear on the timing belt

I'm interested to see how those Injectors work out for you and how the progress goes.

I have confirmed that as well with Martin, the stock injectors that they provide flow at 252cc and will work fine with the new s/c. They ask that you mention it in your order sheet that you mention it is for a supercharger application tho.

I also emailed five o about larger injectors and was also told that stock/cleaned injectors should be fine. I will worry about larger injectors when I start getting into the rabbit hole with smaller pully and standalone.

P0171 means having trouble with a dirty or faulty mass airflow (MAF) sensor, or a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor (perhaps in the PCV line or in the valve itself). Of course, this code can also signify a bad O2 sensor.
I would look again at vacuum leaks or exhaust leak.

ANY VACUUM leak will mess everything up

I'm betting there's a vacuum leak since it came up after installing all that. The smallest leak can trip that code, can be a pain to track down. I had it once and it ended up being a small leak on the back of the supercharger where the EGR port is capped off (before I had the 7th injector there)

If it's not an obvious leak I would run a smoke machine through the system to try and pinpoint it. Or at least rule it out. But with headers and a sc getting installed I'm betting a small leak is the most likely culprit for that code

Do you have the complete exhaust system hooked up, not open headers?

Hate to thread jack, but got a quick question. I read a decent amount of this particular post (till about page 50).
Was wondering if anyone has done a write up or video on 7th injector installation. Plz leave links if anyone has any leads to this.
Figured I would ask here before posting a new thread. Thanks!

Seriously, the 7th injector is garbage. I had the 7th injector for over 10 years and I was always trying to “fix” the tune on that thing. The stock ECU is constantly adjusting against the changes made by the 7th injector tune, so I never got it to run as consistent and good as it is running now with the Haltech. The addition of just the Haltech felt like it added another 30hp when compared to the 7th injector setup, with the same injectors and fuel pump.

Go for the Haltech and never look back. Tuning the Haltech is also much more intuitive.

Okay I appreciate the honesty. What’s a good asking price for the unit? It’s used and I’m missing the fuel pump, but everything else is complete.
Any good links to snag a haltech? I’m not in a super rush to install this thing, but maybe I could snag on next month on BF.

I’d say you can still get in the $500-700 range for the 7th injector kit, as they are still quite a bit of people that choose to go that route despite the better, although higher priced option out there.
If you are new to stand alone ECUs don’t let that scare you away from trying to put everything together yourself, the resources are out there, and on this forum to help you figure it out. As with anything, there is an effort needed to learn how the Haltech works, but once you understand it, it becomes much much easier to use.

I got my Haltech on last years SNP black friday sale.
There's definitely a learning curve to start, but it's worth it in the end like everyone says.

Also when you say your were always trying to “fix” the tune. What do you mean by that?
I bought this package thinking I would good to go with the 7th inj. But it is sounding I’m wrong lol.
Would it be any benefit to run the 7th inj? What was so bad about it?
