After 45 years of Marriage I have finally figured out my wife

After 45 Years of Marriage I have finally figured out my wife. She manages to ask me questions where my response is generally "I don't know". I've determined she is a lot smarter than me. That's the only explanation I have!

“I don’t know”…….

“I don’t know” is the safest answer.
It’s only part of the answer, but it’s the safe answer.


What I am actually thinking.


“I don’t know” - what you are talking about
“I don’t know” - why you are asking
“I don’t know” - why it matters
“I don’t know” - why it has to be done now

The list is long. But the answer is short

 

My answer is usually, Ask Google

 

I've tried to come up with other creative answers like: "It's beyond my knowledge", etc.

I would agree with you 100% that my wife is way smarter than me.

 

Because Google is a lying SOB. That’s why.

Na, just say " Whatever you think is best", you'll be covered.

OP I’ve been behind you before in a grocery checkout line.

 

Since my kids are still young and cute (6 and 4), copying their answers usually melts mamas heart and diverts her attention to our kiddos. So simple answers like “I made my brain forget”, or “I smacked it out of my head”, or anything else cute that the kids say will usually get the focus off of me.

Once our kids are older then I’m in trouble.
