i'm about 45k miles on my 2017 sport, the rotors are a bit warped (pulsing during braking) but the pads have decent life on them still. shop near me wants 127 to turn them down which seemed good when compared to rotor prices at o'rileys and autozone.

recently found a rockauto for parts, i was given a huge list of both kits and rotors that are significantly cheaper then local stores.

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/toyota,2017,tacoma,3.5l+v6,3437069,brake+&+wheel+hub,rotor,1896

    and

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...brake+&+wheel+hub,rotor+&+brake+pad+kit,13824

any order from them before have good advice on which of their brands are good, and which are shit?

I've ordered numerous kit deals from RockAuto. I like the Raybestos EHT (Element3) option with coated rotors the best. Haven't used that stuff on my Tacoma though.

I haven't done it on the Tacoma, but it looks to from the picture in my eyes....pads, anti rattle clips, the little clips for the pins. What else would it be missing? I am not super familiar with all the parts needed on the Tacoma setup.

Rockauto is 100% legitimate and they usually have their parts in categories based on “quality”.

    Key word "quality".
I did an engine work and bought a gasket kit from rockauto. Did not use half of the content. Poor quality and had a hard time to install some items from the kit due to fitting.

I've used Rock Auto for over 8 vehicles with no issues. You just have to know what you're buying.

You have to buy the pins separately.

Rock Auto is pretty spot on with the categories. Unless I'm flipping a vehicle, I go at least one step above DD. Never had a problem. Been with them for a while. :)
