They went with a smaller/earlier locomotive than the original concept, but it still looks nice and they added a second passenger car. Would have preferred the engine to be a different color than the train, but that's something I may be able to change

    Recent builds.
Ordered two by mistake, so the first is without stickers. The second is still in the box.

I’m sure this is frowned upon, but after finishing my DeLorean and struggling to decide which way to display it I decided to dip my toe into the knockoff market. I ordered two more sets to build Part I and Part III. We will see how they compare to the real deal.

Usually I hate knockoffs as a matter of principle, but I’m curious how this will work since I already have a real deal set anyways.

I went with part 2 and went MOC on it and added more detail and lights to it. Built a technic stand and got mini figs of doc and Marty from all 3 as well, as well as a Jennifer and Clara.

Yeah I can’t deny the appeal of some of the knockoffs. Especially when it’s original designs.

Good thing the mall I was at yesterday didn't have a Lego store. I was unsupervised with lots of cash in my pocket. Bad decisions would've been made.

Not really, there was some confusion at first, and i did second guess it and pulled it apart.
    So yes.

Maybe I just wasn't patient enough. I think I removed and reinstalled the wheels a dozen times trying to get it right. I got it close enough and gave up.

I never knew Ural made motorcylces. I'd love it if they made an Ural of the 6x6 variety. I know they're military trucks, but a trial truck version similar to the recent unimog would be cool.

Heck I never knew Ural made trucks, I am aware of and have driven Ural motorcycles cause I worked at a BMW motorcycle dealership for a bit.

Speaking of trucks, I've been pretty addicted to snowrunner recently and thought I'd check out if anyone has made models of those trucks before. A few people on rebrickable have made bigger ones here and there, but Renbricks on you tube has some pretty cool mini builds of almost all the American trucks in the game. If LEGO ever decided to make sets like these I'd get them all. At least piecing these together won't break the bank.
