I was just appointed Director of the @G8R_Taco Rewipe Clinic!!

 

As I recently found out, the camera is the cheap part. Will suck #### for lenses.

 

6lb braided line is like 48lb test of mono/fluorocarbon or any other nylon line. 2 things with braided line.... 2 positives and 2 negatives
Positive 1.... you can fit a shit ton of line on a smaller reel.
Positive 2.... it can withstand almost anything.

Negative 1... it's a pain in the ass to tie and if it gets tangled or birds nest. You will never get it untangled and need to cut it. Cutting can be very difficult.
Negative 2.... it costs 3 times as much as mono or fluorocarbon.

I have both... 6lb braided and use a 2lb mono/fluorocarbon leader.

Then I have 6lb mono/fluorocarbon and use a 2lb leader.


I like fishing for trout and will fish for catfish.
Catfish get an 8lb mono/fluorocarbon leader.

FUCK! I miss fishing. I haven't been in 6 years.

 

Wonder if I can get one of those in the poverty edition?

 

Buy once on the 2.8 lenses and be done. They’re worth it.

 

My new reel held 475 yds of 50lb braid.

That can get pricy.
