Hey all. I have a 2010 Tacoma and have some holes in the frame. It's passed the warranty, so no help from Toyota. How screwed am I with this?

Pretty screwed. Where do you live? Do they use salt on the roads?

If your State allows it, see what a GOOD welding shop with FRAME EXPERIENCE say about it. There are sites that sell repair sections for truck frames.

They denied the warranty like that? I had one done with the only hole being where the cab mount was welded on and it was only a half an inch.

They most likely denied a frame replacement based on the fact that his truck is past the "12 years from first in-service date" stipulation rather than the size of the hole.

Ya I am just suprised it got that much worse in just two years since he said it passed the warranty check on it.

Yeah, tell me about it. I probably should have been more vigilant or checked more deeply. I have a work truck so this isn't my DD anymore. I'll have to clean it up and see what I'm up against I suppose.

Not to be the barer of bad news.
    But that’s BAD. Real bad.
They rust from the inside out too.

Take a small ball peen hammer and start hammering.
Seriously, that’s really how you tell “how bad” it is.

You are so screwed, that if we try to unscrew you, the head will break off.

Sorry to see that. Hopefully, that is the worst of it and it is repairable.
