    X100 :fistbump:

Deer destroyed my garden this year... completely
    (Except my tomatoes)

I thought it was the groundhogs, and I've been chootin' 'em regularly.
But after destroying my garden, the culprits moved on to browsing on my apple trees, and that ain't no groundhog's doing.

A week or so ago, Mrs Gritto told me the gal across the street has been feeding them. :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:
She found it out on her neighborhood fakebook group she started.

I don't hunt deer any more, and it's not like I can shoot a deer rifle in my neighborhood.
A single .22 shot to plink a groundhog is one thing, but the report of a high power rifle is another thing entirely.

They work better with breading, cheese and fried than trying to suck them through a straw.

But if you can, you do you.

Yeah, a well placed head shot is the business there, otherwise you got a wounded deer running off.
I'm not a poacher and the possible consequences give me pause

I can see the headline now in the Reckless Herald:

"Former Director at Waynesboro Fish & Game arrested for poaching and discharge of a firearm in a Safety Zone"

    which reminds me...

Whenever I see a video on YouTube about the best deer caliber, I have to laugh.
The most prolific deerslayer title has gotta go to the humble .22 LR... in the hands of spotlighting poachers :infantry:

I know lots of those guys, but I ain't no squealer.
    Plus they eat them, so...

Well, I mean with a paper name like that it would only belong there. Let us know when it’s published.

Funny thing is, back in California, we had deer come into our yard almost every night and feast on our garden. They mostly are my wife's tomatoes! Didn't seem interested in the various squash or green bean plants....
