Thanks Ken, we saw 6 yesterday and 2 today, things are picking up but nothing in range, sure better than not seeing anything and haven't seen any horns yet.

 

Planning to go out tomorrow morning before this weekends rain.
Running late this year. Caught a case of non-covid creeping crud that's running around.
Pretty good now but don't want to hack up a lung while sitting in a tree.
I'm hunting a nearby quasi-public lottery watershed area where I'm allowed 4 deer with the bow and 4 more during shotgun only season.
No way I'll shoot 8. Three was plenty enough last year.
(and damn near had a coronary gettin the double header out)

 

Yesterday's big tube was really the front window sweeps on the inside.. Pop the door panel, gently pry the old one out, bend the tabs, replace the panel. Where did that hour go?

I usually make some every year and pass it out to the family around Christmas time. The last two years I didn't have time to tend it properly so I didn't even start. Okay, I had the time but just didn't bother. Lack of motivation. I'd forgotten how much of a Christmas tradition it was and how much it meant to everybody else.
This year I'll have plenty.
There's a little family orchard on our place that my parents planted back in the 1950s. It still bears fruit and the deer like to graze on the apples and figs. The trees are too old to give us much but as long as the critters like it I'll keep it going. Plus, it's an easy walk from the house. That's important when you're seventy seven and not as agile as you want to be.

Ok, recently signed up after buying my first Tacoma a few weeks ago. 62 laps around the sun so far. Just going to be in the background here for a while.
