What kinds are considered hard to find?

 

There are tons, but some of your traditional examples are many of the products from Buffalo Trace distillery: the namesake Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, Weller, E.H. Taylor.

Most distilleries have products that are more limited releases and harder to find, but the above ones are a good example.

 

Roe and Co Dublin Ireland. The single malt was my favorite.

Got my girl here on vaca

 

Blinded side by side. Was a bit too easy to pick out based on the difference, but enjoyed both pours and the differences between each. The WTRB is easy to pick up, the JD not so much….so I went and bought another bottle today.

 

the plan is for jd rye to be a shelf staple, so hopefully in a year it will be readily available

 

Got a smallie of this one tonight, it was pretty decent.

 

Is this for the JDSBBP whiskey bottle as well? When I bought this last week, they had 6? Maybe 8? Today, I got they had 3 left. This shop is out of the way for the masses, but the bourbon hunter may make a trip. They don’t usually have the really hard to find stuff and if they do, it’s usually double MSRP. So I was surprised to see this priced at MSRP…or close to what I’ve paid for the whiskey bottle.

But glad it will be a staple. How is this SBBP compared toe the red label rye?

 

Niiiice!!!! I remember the rye being great but it’s been a long time since I’ve had it..to scared to crack my last barrel till I get a replacement.

 

I'll be heading to Lawton Oklahoma for some training in the near future. Anyone know of any good spots to bourbon hunt?
